Preparative chromatography meets ultrasonic
Sartorius is a trusted partner in the life science research and biopharmaceutical industries. In November 2021 Sartorius acquired BIA Separations – a Slovenian company that develops and manufactures market-leading products for the purification and analysis of large biomolecules.
Chromatography is a method for separating mixtures into their individual components. With our knowledge and technology, chromatographic monolithic columns are produced in our modernized ISO 8 standard clean room. The special separating chemical is placed on a large plastic film and the film is rolled up. Then the ends are ultrasonically welded, and the column is ready for preparative chromatography. These columns allow the separation of large quantities of proteins, viruses, and DNA.
